Over 100 members attend Culture Montreal’s Annal General Assembly.

Culture Montreal’s 7th Annual Assembly took attracted over 100 members at Gesù on October 15, 2009. Simon Brault, Culture Montreal’s Founder, along with Treasurer André Leclerc  and Culture Montreal’s General Manager Anne-Marie Jean, gave an account of the organizations’ activities for the previous year.

The members also elected 9 Board members among the 17 candidates running for election. Were elected or re-elected for a 2-year term : Miriam Ginestier, Regroupement des arts interdisplinaires du Québec (RAIQ) representative ; Eric M’Boua, Diversité artistique Montréal (DAM) representative, Noémie Dansereau-Lavoie, Project Coordinator, Société Radio-Canada; Ugo Dionne, President, Synesis Formation, Co-Founder, Bénévoles d’affaires; Alix Laurent, Director, Administration and Finance, École supérieure de ballet contemporain de Montréal; André Leclerc, President, Gagné Leclerc Groupe Conseil; Pierre Richard; Michel Sabourin, President, Club Soda; et Kathia St-Jean, Director, Communications and Partnerships, Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles. They will join the Board members whose term ends in October 2010 : Simon Brault, General Manager, National Theatre School of Canada; Dinu Bumbaru, Policy Director, Héritage Montréal; André Dudemaine, Director, Cultural Activities, Festival Terres en vue ; Marie-Christine Dufour, General Manager, Lemieux.Pilon 4d art ; Rose-Marie Ekemberg Goulet, Visual Artist; Pascal Jodoin, Teacher; Aida Kamar, President, Vision Diversité; Denis Mercier, Comedian , Union des artistes representative; Gaétan Morency, Vice-President, Cirque du Soleil; David Moss, President, Zicatel Arts; Louise Sicuro, President and General Manager, Culture pour tous; et Jacques Vézina, Co-Director and Administrative Director, Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui.

Simon Brault was named Chair for a 7th year in a row by the Board members.
